Buying a club from another country is simple when you know what to ask. These are the five things we would check with any seller, including us.
1. Who pays the import duties, and when?
Golf clubs shipped from Japan are subject to import duties in many countries. If duties are billed at your door, a parcel can be held at customs, and unpaid parcels can be sent back. Find out the total before you pay.
At REON GOLF, shipping is free by FedEx. Duties and the carrier's customs fee are shown and collected at checkout, and there is nothing more to pay on delivery.
2. How long does delivery really take?
Ask for actual delivery records, not estimates, and remember there are two parts: the time before dispatch and the time in transit.
Our clubs are located across Japan, so dispatch takes 1 to 10 business days depending on the club. Each product page shows the time for that club. Once shipped, our measured FedEx times are:
- United States: median 2 days, 9 in 10 within 4 days
- Canada: median 3 days, 9 in 10 within 5 days
- United Kingdom: median 5 days, 9 in 10 within 7 days
- Australia: median 6 days, 9 in 10 within 9 days

3. What does the condition grade mean?
There is no shared standard. One seller's "good" can be another's "excellent", so read each seller's definitions and rely on the photos. Look closely at the face, sole, hosel, shaft and grip.
We use five grades: New, Like new, Light wear, Visible wear and Heavy wear. The item in the photos is the exact item you receive. How we describe condition
4. Are the specs complete?
Check the flex, length, loft and, for sets, exactly which clubs are included. Lie angle is often not listed, so plan to have a local fitter check it if it matters to you.

5. What happens if something is wrong?
Read the return policy before you buy, not after. With us, a club that is not as described or is damaged in transit is on us, with free return shipping and a full refund. If you change your mind, you can return an unused club within 7 days of delivery (14 days in the United Kingdom). In that case, return shipping is paid by you, and the outbound shipping and duties are not refunded. Read the full policy
